The incoming Gucci store will open at 3000 E 1st Ave Denver, CO 80206, according to a commercial construction permit filed with the city. While there’s no definitive debut date listed, the “improvement of an existing space” seemingly commenced on August 1

Founder Guccio Gucci, an Italian businessman, opened the fashion house in 1921. With the help of Aldo Gucci, the brand catapulted to fame, becoming a worldwide recognized luxury brand. By the 1980s, however, family feuds began to ensue, and the Gucci family was essentially “ousted” from “the capital of the company.” In 1999, “Gucci was acquired by the French conglomerate Pinault Printemps Redoute, which later became Kering. During the 2010s, Gucci became an iconic ‘geek-chic’ brand.” Today, it is widely recognized as one of the most influential fashion brands of all time. 

The brand sells handbags, ready-to-wear footwear and accessories, makeup, fragrances, and home decoration with often outrageous price tags. For example, the Gucci Bamboo 1947 crocodile mini bag (pictured) clocks in at about $23,500 before tax. The bag measures less than seven inches across and only contains a cardholder inside.
