Alpine Dog Brewing closed its doors on Ogden Street in August of 2021 after being at the location since 2014.

Home brewing got owner Gardiner Hammond started in the industry, and according to Hammond’s LinkedIn bio, he “fell in love with the idea of creating interesting, uncommon, yet satisfying beers using both traditional and unique ingredients.”

Hammond went on to open Alpine Dog Brewing, which has won several awards for its tasty brews.

Alpine Dog Brewing’s Thunder Puppy IPA won first place in the IPA competition at Microbrew Fest 2017, and its Dankhound DIPA won Champion Double IPA at Beer Wars in 2017.
