“American Bonded will remain true to its mission of pouring high-quality, affordable cocktails in an inviting, no-frills atmosphere,” Peter Stanislaus, Head of Development at Pouring With Heart, said in the presser. “This bar has a fantastic location in one of Denver’s most vibrant downtown neighborhoods with an amazing rooftop patio and a loyal following. We are excited to work with the existing American Bonded team to continue to offer a communal neighborhood vibe.”

Opened in 2018, American Bonded was named after the 1897 Bottled-in-Bond Act that set standards for the quality of American whiskies. In addition to its accessible “whiskey-focused” cocktails, the locale aligns to Pouring With Heart’s celebration of art. The hospitality group is dedicated to preserving funky settings and uplifting local culture so, the murals adorning American Bonded are a perfect fit. Already with 29 locations across California, Colorado, and Texas, the company with continue to carve a home for its patrons and employees.

“We understand that a bar is not just cocktails, rather it is who is in the bar, who pours your drinks, that creates the story of it and makes people return night after night, and employees stay,” Pouring With Heart’s director of operations for Denver, Erbin Garcia, said. “Pour with heart and show you care, because the more regulars we build, the more careers we create, and the more we can change the perception of what working in bars means.”

Pouring With Heart aims to reopen American Bonded post “a short transition period and staff training.” The new owners will also provide a fresh polish on the existing interior and plan to open for business again in February.
