Sean Bambei and his wife Casey own Bambei Brewing. They put in an initial offer on the lease before fires hit Superior at the end of 2021. “The hotel right in our parking lot burned down, so we weren’t sure what was going to happen,” Sean Bambei told What Now Denver. “The sense of community that I’ve gotten out of the town of Superior, with very little that I’ve been involved with them, has been fantastic. It’s a great community, and they are looking to rebuild bigger, better.”

Renovations on the space will include new paint, new decorations, garage doors, and the removal of booths. Bambei Brewing will feature indoor seating, and they plan to double the size of the exterior patio. “There will be lots of seating outside, as well. As you know, in Colorado, we definitely need outdoor seating,” Sean Bambei shared.

Bambei Brewing will offer live music and a limited food menu. “We’re still trying to iron things out there, but we’re looking at a burgers and wings type of menu.” They are looking at other food options, as well as the option to hire a food truck to move in and run the kitchen.

Beer will be brewed onsite, and 12 of the Bambei Brewing beers will be on tap including an amber, brown, IPA, double IPA, and orange pale ale. “Basically all the standard types of American-style beers. We’ll have lagers. We’ll have a Mexican cerveza, and of course, anything is valid to have fruit thrown in it at any point.”

This will be the first brick-and-mortar location for Bambei. “I wanted to do this when I got into hardcore home brewing about seven years ago. I said I wanted to do this for my real job as a passion because I really loved it.”

Bambei shared that he was laid off from his job in July 2021. “We were on vacation, and my wife said, ‘Well, I guess it’s time to open your brewery.’ So, we jumped in with both feet and here we are hoping to open in November.”
