Owner Cherish Devereaux told What Now Denver that she just submitted paperwork to the city and is going through the permitting process now. She is not sure of an opening date yet, but will keep her patrons apprised.

The bakery announced the big news on social media last week, saying, “We are SO excited to share that after over a year of searching we have finally found a space!!! We just signed the lease!!!”

Buttermilk Bakery and Pie Shop is a labor of love by Devereaux, who has been a baker all her life but decided to start her own business during the pandemic. Her work has become well known for not only being delicious but also visually stunning.

Devereaux uses family recipes from her grandmother and fresh local ingredients in her sweet treats. She specializes in cakes, pies, cookies, chocolates, and more.
