This is the first brick and mortar location of Black Box Bakery, which was launched by Arielle Israel, Megan Read, and Ty Webb as a wholesale bakery in 2019. Israel and Read met while attending the Culinary Institute of America. Shortly after launching, Black Box Bakery outgrew their initial kitchen and moved into a bigger space, cooking in the middle of the night to keep up with growing demand for their wholesale goods. They began looking for a brick and mortar location in 2020, and found their future home at Edgewater Public Market in 2022.

Black Box Bakery is located inside Edgewater Public Market (5505 W. 20th Ave. Suite 182,
Edgewater, CO 80214). Most of the new space is used for baking, with counter service for
guests and glass walls that show off the kitchen. “We love the vibe of the market,” Israel said in a statement. “It feels like a community hangout, a good place to work and a fun place to explore.”

Hours of operation are Wednesday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
