BOCO Cider, Boulder’s only cidery, has closed after five years of making a mark on the local craft beverage scene. The business, which was located at 1501 Lee Hill Dr UNIT 14, stopped operations in late November, but may open again one day, Boulder Reporting Lab says.

Owner Michael Belochi remains hopeful that BOCO Cider’s story is far from over. Reports state Belochi is actively seeking a new location to reopen and revive the beloved Boulder institution.

Belochi, a California native, started making cider at home and decided to turn his passion into a business in 2019. The cidery’s taproom became a dog-and-family-friendly community hub, hosting music, comedy shows, and private events. However, the company has faced challenges due to its location, which isn’t in a typical retail area.

The business announced the closure in August, posting, “BOCO Cider has had a great run, but will be closing Sunday, November 24; it will be business as usual until then. The building in which it operates is being sold and we have not found a new spot.”
