In an exciting development, Breckenridge will take over the taproom currently operated by Sweetwater Brewing, which has enjoyed a nice run in town for the past two and a half years. They will retain all of that business’ staff.
The new taproom will feature 20 beer taps showcasing Breckenridge’s brews alongside guest taps from Sweetwater, Green Flash, and Alpine Beer. The food menu will reflect an elevated brewpub experience, including a burger with truffle cheese, fried chicken with herb aioli, and birria tacos.
Founded in 1990, Breckenridge Brewery was founded in 1990 and has gone through two corporate buyouts. The expansion marks a significant step for the brewery under its current new ownership by Tilray.
“We’re honored to join the legendary ranks of extraordinary breweries producing in the Northern Colorado area”, Todd Thibault, Culture Czar for Breckenridge Brewery, told What Now Denver.
