If you’re in Greenwood Village and looking for a taste of Greek and Lebanese food, be on the lookout for Byblos Cafe in early 2022. The Greenwood Village location on South Yosemite Street will be Byblos’ third Denver-area location.
Co-owner Joe Khraim told What Now Denver that they wanted to expand into Greenwood Village because it’s a busy area to attract more diners. “People come to us because our food is freshly made every day and tastes very good,” Khraim said.
Byblos guests can try an array of apps including hummus, Baba Ghanouj—broiled eggplants, garlic, tahini sauce, and lemon juice—or Dolmas, which is grape leaves stuffed with rice and a side of tzatziki sauce.
Entrees can be served individually or family-style. Gyros, chicken shawarma, and lamb shank are options along with a variety of salads and vegan dishes.
Byblos first opened at 400 N. Corona St. in 2013. According to the Byblos website, cousins Yousef “Joe” and Justin Khraim, originally from Jerusalem, purchased the restaurant several years later after living in Baton Rouge and working in the restaurant industry along the East Coast.
They decided that they wanted to own a restaurant, found Byblos, purchased it within 24 hours, and moved to Denver. They remodeled the space, changed the menu, and have been offering diners a taste of Greek and Lebanese food ever since.
Byblos expanded to its second location in Highlands Ranch in March 2021. Now its third location is set to open in late February or March of 2022 at 4920 S. Yosemite St., Greenwood Village, CO 80111 near Cherry Creek State Park.
