Tae Kwon Do Master Kim plans to begin offering classes at the new location at 4151 E. County Line Rd., Centennial, CO 80122 sometime in December.

Kim told What Now Denver that as a child in Korea, he was a very shy boy, and his mother wanted to help him make friends. “She put me in Tae Kwon Do, and I found out I was very good at it,” he shared. Kim moved to the U.S. in 1989 and began teaching and coaching the martial art.

Kim opened his original studio at 17301 W. Colfax Ave. in Golden back in 1993. “Changing some kids’ lives, it was a great feeling.” Golden Tae Kwon Do Family Center offers children-only, adult-only, and mixed-aged group classes.

Kim said Tae Kwon Do is a great exercise using the entire body, which can help members lose weight, gain body balance, and increase flexibility. It’s also a great way to gain confidence and a positive mental attitude.

“It’s part of a what we call mind and body balance,” Kim explained. “Tae Kwon Do really is learning about how you can better yourself.”

Karen Clarke with Transwestern represented the property owner, Bridge 33 Capital.

Excellent!! I am attending this Tae Kwon Do Studio. I am 47 year old man. It is my time to start learning Tae Kwon Do though I a am a Korean. Mast Kim is really professional and kind in teaching Tae Won Do. I have realized Tae Kwon Do is not just for fighting but an exercise requiring full-body training, balance and flexibility. I totally agree with that Tae Kwon Do is for strengthening body and mental training. Your child will be changed to a very nice son or daughter if they start learning Tae Kwon Do. I like to… Read more »
