Per commercial development periodical Mile High CRE, nearly six years of construction on the DoubleTree by Hilton Denver at 3203 Quebec St. is set to wrap for reopening this coming June. Reconstruction hails all the way back to 2018 when extensive interior renovation plans were halted by pandemic and supply shortages. Post the half-a-decade delay, not only will the DoubleTree’s 565 rooms and suites sport a fresh sheen, the hotel’s convention center, lobby, restaurants, and snack bars are all being leveled up by Ohlson Lavoie Corporation architects and interior designer, entrusted by the Pyramid Hotel Group, the building’s new owner.

“We wanted to open up all of the public space to create an open, inviting flow throughout, while creating an experience for the guest which is tactile, organic, upscale, cozy, and timeless,” OLC principal and senior interior designer Brenda Amsberry said in a statement.

The hotel’s new restaurants include the Hub Bar, The Knife & Board Restaurant, and Grounded Grab n’ Go for guests on the go.

The Hub Bar will be one of the first things that hotel guests will see upon entering the DoubleTree. With a look that incorporates Denver’s urbanity in the midst of Colorado’s untamed wilds, a double-sided fireplace will provide ambience to a cozy bar serving up signature cocktails and 16 taps of primarily local craft beers.

The Knife & Board, as its name suggests, will feature locally-sourced produce and meats from a Hilton chef. Diners will be inspired by the bucolic setting — a meadow, a stream, and an aspen tree canopy surrounded by local tunes.

Patrons needing to either rush out the doors or post up behind work can grab classic coffee at the “vintage” Grounded Grab n Go, along with an assortment of premade eats. Also available will be individual cubbies, lounge chairs, and communal and personal dining tables in the rustic, warm wood cafe.
