The historic Evans School, a Denver landmark at 1115 N Acoma St., is undergoing a transformative $26 million renovation. According to the Denver Post, there will be a beer garden added as part of the project.
Led by Joe Vostrejs of City Street Investors and the Columbia Group, the redevelopment includes public financing, with $3 million provided by the Denver Urban Renewal Authority (DURA).
Evans School, a three-story, 34,000-square-foot structure, has remained mostly unused since its closure in 1974. It is set to feature a dynamic mix of retail, dining, and creative spaces.
Plans also include a restaurant, a coffee and ice cream shop, and additional retail units. There will also be a 3,000-square-foot patio and a 9,000-square-foot lawn.
