The venue space allows for up to 200 attendees at wedding receptions, business events, and private parties. “It’s a pretty good size. We’ve got three roll-up glass garage doors and two really big skylights,” Scott Nagely, owner of Varone Market Venue, explained.

A catering kitchen is available for outside caterers to bring in and serve food to event guests. The second story of the building will be used for shared office space.

In 1912, John Varone built an Italian grocery store and market in the Varone building. Nagely has been renovating the property over the past few years adding 1,000 square feet, opening the interior, and updating the exterior.

“It’s got some real history,” Nagely said. The carriage house in the back of the property is located right off the outdoor patio.

In the past, the carriage house was used to park the horse and buggy, but now, it’s been renovated into a smaller event space. Nagely said it would be a great place for a dessert bar to complement a wedding reception or serve as an area for the bridal party to get ready.

“We’re excited about it. It’s going to have a lot of character, and I think, be pretty unique for the community,” Nagely said.

The Varone Market Venue is located at 1800 W 33rd Ave., Denver, CO 80211.
