A healthy meal-plan, meal-prep brand offering macro-balanced to-go and café options is being planned for Fort Collins. Clean Eatz franchisee Mike Collins is currently searching for a space in the area to open his second location.
“Right now, it’s about a 16-to-20-week lead time to get equipment in, so once I find that lease, I’ll order equipment and do the buildout,” Collins told What Now Denver. He hopes to open the Fort Collins spot by summer of 2023.
Clean Eatz offers fresh or frozen prepared meals, individual or family-style, and a variety of café items. “You can come in and order flatbreads, burgers, wraps, those types of things, build-a-bowls,” Collins said. “But primarily what we are is a meal-plan, meal-prep company.”
Guests can choose prepared frozen meals in 25-30 different variations. “Then, we also have a weekly fresh meal plan where people will order online, no minimums or subscriptions or anything like that,” Collins explained.
“Everything is macro-balanced, so you have the right proportions of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins,” Collins said. Clean Eatz uses local, fresh ingredients to create dishes, the majority between 350 and 500 calories, at an affordable price. “That price point really doesn’t cause any access problems. It’s affordable to everybody and gives them access to healthy food.”
One menu favorite in the café is the buffalo chicken wrap. “It’s super popular. We have a bacon chicken ranch flatbread that’s really popular.” A lot of customers build bowls because they have complete control over the ingredients.
Collins has another Clean Eatz location at 4838 Larimer Pkwy. in Johnstown. Other franchisees operate two Denver locations.
