Indoor Courts to Offer Space for Pickleball in Colorado Springs

Courtside Superstores set to open indoor pickleball facility with courts, restaurant, and retail space.

Colorado Springs is getting a new indoor pickleball complex. According to an article in the The Gazette, California-based Courtside Superstores is planning to remodel a former Stein Mart store at the University Village Colorado shopping center to add 10 pickleball courts, a retail store, bar, and café.

Court space can be rented out for parties, corporate events, and lessons, and the retail space will offer apparel and pickleball equipment for all ages and skill levels. The Courtside restaurant will provide a variety of food and drink menu options.

Pickleball has become a popular sport across the state of Colorado and can be played singles or doubles. Players of all ages can participate in pickleball using a paddle to hit a ball back and forth over a net on a small, outdoor or indoor court.

The first Courtside Superstores location opened this past summer in Irvine, California, and the Colorado Springs location at 5326 N. Nevada Ave. is expected to open as early as February of 2022.

Courtside Superstores plans to open more than 50 facilities across the United States over the next two years.
