Jimano’s Pizzeria Englewood Refreshing Before Expansion

Denverites can expect the second Chicago-area pizzeria and comfort food locale in the next year or so.

Expansion for Jimano’s Pizzeria remains in the works, but will have to first wait for the Englewood store to remodel. The restaurant “lost a few managers,” according to franchisee Robert Meason. While the store will remain open, new managers need to be trained at the pizzeria at 2950 S. Broadway. After the location is humming again, Meason still plans to add a second franchise, likely in the next six to 12 months.

“I think it’s prudent to focus our efforts on the Englewood store while things are in flux,” Meason said in a conversation with What Now Denver.

Jimano’s began in Waukegan, Illinois, just north of Chicago. The store found success by delivering pies with quality ingredients on a variety of crusts at an affordable price. The community-centered store enjoyed a quick expansion that Meason would eventually become a part of. After running the Gurnee, Illinois store as general manager, Meason would eventually make his way back to the company, helping to finance the Englewood store where the restaurant operator saw a major opportunity.

“The area definitely deserves a better showing at the mid-level that we’re at,” Meason said. “Customers can’t always find food of our quality at the mid-level price in Denver.”

Not only do food lovers have the option for five different pizza crusts (from gluten-free to double dough), Jimano’s offers another Chicagoland favorite: Italian beef. The iconic star of Hulu’s The Bear, an Italian beef sandwich features roast beef on a tender sub roll that’s dipped in au jus and served with spicy Giardiniera or sweet peppers.

Alongside chicken, ribs, wraps, pastas, salads, loaded fries, loaded tots, poppers, and desserts, the seemingly endless options at Jimano’s Pizza are always available at an affordable price. Watch What Now Denver for updates on the Englewood remodel and second Denver Jimano’s.
