Kaya Cannabis is a craft cannabis company that’s been operating out of Colorado. It first opened as “Southwest Alternative Care” when “best friends from Boulder who shared a passion for their community, a taste for high quality cannabis, and a dream to run a dispensary,” came together, according to their official website.

The marijuana company has three different locations in Denver, with one in Santa Fe on 1075 S. Fox St, one in Lakewood on 12018 W. Jewell Ave, and one on 3937 W. Colfax. Kaya Cannabis recently filed a permit to renovate their location on Colfax.

According to the permit application, Kaya Dispensary plans to demolish the existing bathroom and some of the inner walls to expand the dispensary by adding a new “recreational lobby/ check-in area” as well as a new bathroom and office space.

A representative from Kaya Dispensary wasn’t available to comment on when exactly the changes would be occurring, but we’re looking forward to seeing what the new space will look like.
