According to recent reporting by Westwood, El Tejano will be at 1949 Market Street in a space previously known as Tavern Downtown, and Loaded will be at 1937 Market Street where Cook Street School used to be.

Both are modeled after California restaurants, with Loaded being an 80’s rock-and-roll themed bar that’s now permanently closed in its Los Angeles location and El Tejano being a Tex Mex restaurant.

Westwood reporting also states that three different Californian companies are behind these two new concepts and the Smash Face Brewing that just opened last month: Fillemore Capital Partners, Knitting Factory Entertainment, and Buckhead.

Loaded will pay homage to Sunset Strip party bars and feature music theme nights, vinyl records, and karaoke with a live band. They’ll also have twists on drinks like Sex on the Beach and Harvey Wallbangers.

El Tejano, with 10,000 square feet of rooftop space, will come with an “I-Pour-It” system where diners can load up a card and pour their own beers. When food and beverage director Xanthus Be Dell spoke to What Now Denver on Monday, he said there would be six or seven family style tables in this section and be right next to the entrance for the patio.

El Tejano will also play Denver pro sports and college games, and set up specials whether they win or lose.

Both concepts are looking to open by September 17.
