Nadia Walker first opened the original Barre Forte Southmoor location in Denver in 2012. Walker later teamed up with partners Amy O’Connell and Sarah Brittenham to expand the concept.

Barre Forte has opened a number of studios across Colorado including in Loveland and Colorado Springs, as well as in Kansas and South Dakota. Instructors must complete a certification program to teach classes offered at Barre Forte.

Classes include the signature barre class, Barre Forte. According to Barre Forte’s website, the workout helps to sculpt lean, powerful muscles by incorporating the use of hand weights, yoga straps, resistance bands, and exercise balls throughout the workout.

Other classes offered include Barre Express, which is a 40-minute, condensed version of the signature barre class. Sculpt Forte is a 60-minute, high-energy group class allowing members to use heavy weights and their own body weight to strengthen and sculpt muscles.

The Barre Forte University Hills studio is expected to open at 2765 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO 80210 sometime in January 2022.
