The new food hall will be located next door to a second Connects Workspace at 18475 W. Colfax Ave. in Golden. The development is tentatively scheduled to open sometime in late summer of 2022. The original Connects Workspace opened at 1301 Arapahoe St. in Golden back in 2015.
Five food concepts have been confirmed for Morris & Mae, which will include a large commercial kitchen for vendors, a full bar, and a market. The five food concepts include Thoemke’s Gold Mine Sweets & Espresso, which will serve cupcakes, espresso, and more. Other food vendors include Mac Nation Café, Kiki’s Fresh Bowls, Paisan, and La Rosita.
Mac Nation Café is an all macaroni and cheese kitchen featuring more than 40 signature dishes, breakfast sandwiches, and other treats from owner Alton McCullough. The original Mac Nation Café location has been in business for seven years and is located at 5510 S. Parmalee Gulch Rd. in Indian Hills.
Kiki’s Fresh Bowls from owners Tiffani and Rand Packer offers acai bowls with a selection of fruits, granola, honey drizzle, peanut butter, and more. Or, you could choose a poke bowl with diced raw fish or grilled chicken, other fresh ingredients, and sauce. The menu will also include smoothies, fruit water, and more. Kiki’s has a location at 27975 Highway 74 in Evergreen.
One of the other two confirmed concepts is expected to offer Italian paninis and salads, while the second will serve tacos, according to a Denver Business Journal article. Morris & Mae is still looking for vendors to fill the food hall and market space. More information can be found on the Morris & Mae website.
