Known for their preservation work and deep ties to the Five Points and Curtis Park neighborhoods, Hayden and Pryor have renovated several properties in the area over the last few decades, including another dessert place, Cassady’s, a opening in 2025.

The couple took classes with Chicago’s Carpigiani Gelato University, diving deep into the art and science of gelato-making. In addition to traditional gelato, Thick’s will offer a selection of crafted chocolates.

Hayden, a longtime realtor and city planner, and Pryor, a contractor, have a shared commitment to preserving Denver’s historic charm and supporting local growth. Together, they serve on the Curtis Park Neighbors Board of Directors, and have also organized Beat Generation walking tours, celebrating local landmarks with ties to Denver’s literary and cultural heritage.
