The expansion comes amid requests to open a northern location. “We get a lot of people from up north, especially from Denver, who come down here,” Michelle Shammel, manager at Amy’s Donuts in Colorado Springs, told What Now Denver.

The family-oriented business offers more than 100 different flavors on top of its donuts. The donut dough is never frozen. “We make them fresh every single day,” Shammel said.

The menu features traditional, filled, and baked donuts, as well as pigs in the blanket. Many of Amy’s most popular donuts include options that feature bacon.

“Our staff favorite here is the Bizmallow Caramel. It’s got Biscoff cookie butter, marshmallow fluff, cinnamon cake, and caramel. That one’s really popular.” Amy’s cheesecake donuts and seasonal flavors are also a hit with customers.

The new Colorado Springs location will open at 3749 Bloomington St, Colorado Springs, CO 80922. The current Colorado Springs location is at 2704 E Fountain Blvd. Amy’s Donuts has several shops across the U.S. including others in Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico.
