The beloved Breckenridge plant-based pizza place: Piante Pizzeria made the move to Denver in 2020. The pizza shop tested the Denver waters last year with pop-ups and events, but is now set to open its first brick-and-mortar location on 1350 S Broadway–an address regulars will recognize from previous events and the pizzeria’s mobile service.

“[pi·an·té] means plants in Italian” according to the pizzeria’s official website. Piante Pizzeria serves artisan, wood-fired, hand-crafted, New York City-inspired Neapolitan pizza. Their Denver menu includes appetizers such as garlic knots, roasted jalapenos poppers and a kale caesar salad. Their specialty pizzas can be substituted with a gluten-free crust and include in-house creations such as “Mr. White” which consists of an olive oil brushed crust, plant-based “mozzarella”, plant-based cashew ricotta, shiitake “bacon” and arugula.

“Our family opened Piante Pizzeria to provide the high Rockies with delicious scratch-made, plant-based, wood fire pizzas, healthy salads, and delectable desserts in a cozy, vintage-inspired space,” according to their official Facebook page. By doing exactly this, the pizzeria has already become a staple in the Denver community and we are very excited that they’re going brick-and-mortar with a permanent location.
