PrimoHoagies was founded on Ritner St. in South Philadelphia in 1992 by Richard and Colleen Neigre. Richard Neigre — a self-proclaimed hoagie enthusiast — had worked at a meat-production facility for a few years before he ventured out on his own to test his hoagie hypothesis. The formula proved successful, and the Niegres soon expanded their operation. After ten years of rapid growth accompanied by (or, rather, propelled by) exceptional quality control, the company began franchising.

Today, PrimoHoagies has clusters of locations on the east coast and has favorably begun to branch out west. Sadly, founder Richard Neigre, died suddenly earlier this year at the age of 65, leaving behind “a legacy of good food, generosity, and an extreme devotion to his family.”

PrimoHoagies offers an array of delicious sandwich selections ranging from The Italian Classics to the Diablos selection – a slew of hoagies spiced up with ingredients like hot pepper cheese, Buffalo sauce, and hot capicola.

That said, What Now Denver caught up with Maes to get the haps on the piled-high hoagies he’ll be serving up in The Mile High City:

WND: Why Denver?

Maes: Denver is a city with people from all over the US, especially from the east coast. Something that everyone craves and can’t get today is a delicious high-quality hoagie. We believe that PrimoHoagies will satisfy that craving. We want to share the Primo experience with the Denver area and are excited we are helping the brand expand further west than ever before.

WND: What can customers expect from your location?

Maes: Customers should expect the same high-quality ingredients they are used to from the other PrimoHoagies locations.  All of the meat, cheeses, and even hoagie rolls are delivered from the east coast, ensuring the same great taste and quality PrimoHoagies enthusiasts are used to.

WND: What are your hopes for the location?

Maes: Whether you are one of the many who have messaged us expressing excitement for the new location on Leetsdale Dr. or even if you have never visited a PrimoHoagies before, our hope is that you will stop by, say hello, and try one of our delicious hoagies.  With our high-quality ingredients and passion for great customer service, we know people are going to crave PrimoHoagies. See you soon!
