While they were unable to provide an opening timeline for the incoming Yampa Sandwich Co., an employee at an existing outpost confirmed the expansion plans in a telephone conversation with What Now Denver Friday.

The sandwich franchise’s story begins in 1999, with the first shop in Steamboat Springs opening after high school friends Peter Boniface and David Pepin reconnected in Colorado after college over their shared interest for backcountry skiing.

Yampa Sandwich Co.’s menu features breakfast items, soups, salads, and specialty sandwiches made with “inspiring ingredients, inventive flavors and quality nutrition you can feel good about.” All sandwiches are “made-to-order, from scratch, and free of all harmful additives, chemicals, pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics.”

The new location will be right across from a Barnes & Noble and REI, in case you feel like stopping by for some nutrition along your book or outdoor adventure shopping!
