Snooze, an A.M. Eatery will officially reopen its flagship Ballpark location on Wednesday, Aug. 14, continuing its legacy in the neighborhood. The reopening follows a $2.5 million dollar investment into upgrading the property, expanding the footprint of the historic building from 2,870 square feet to 4,100 square feet. While Snooze Ballpark will gain some additional seating capacity following the renovation, most of the extra space has been devoted to improving operations in the heart-of-house kitchen space. The restaurant now seats 124 inside and offers an outdoor patio with an additional 14 seats.

“This renovation was very important to us to honor our roots in Denver,” says Snooze CEO David Birzon in a statement. “Snooze Ballpark is the first Snooze restaurant and a staple of the neighborhood, and we wanted to invest in an enhanced breakfast experience for guests and honor this historic location so that we can continue serving the community here for years to come. We love Ballpark and we are confident that the future of this neighborhood is bright.”
In the spirit of giving back to the Ballpark community, re-opening day festivities on Aug. 14 will include various giveaways and prizes throughout the day and weekend. The first 50 people in line that morning will receive a one-of-a-kind Snooze Ballpark t-shirt, a yellow Snooze mug, and the first 10 will receive Snooze for a year (12 $25 gift cards), while everyone else will get a $50 gift card. The first 50 Guests will also be eligible to win Snooze’s “Ultimate Denver Pack,” which includes Snooze for a year, Snooze swag, a Snooze branded Guava BrüMate tumbler and BrüMate BrüTank cooler, various goods from Be a Good Person, a Topo Designs backpack, an all-access membership pass to CorePower Yoga, cans of sparkling Attimo Wine and Real Dill’s Snooze Bloody Mary Mix.
Additionally, Snooze Ballpark will open with a limited-time excusive pancake flavor, the Apple Crisp pancake. A favorite recipe of Abe Herrera, Snooze’s longest-running Snoozer (team member) and original Ballpark head chef, it includes buttermilk batter filled with spiced apples and is topped with vanilla crème, whipped mascarpone, almond streusel and powdered sugar. Snooze is partnering with one of its legacy partners, local nonprofit Brent’s Place, for the reopening of Ballpark. Snooze will donate 100% of proceeds from Apple Crisp pancake sold from Aug. 14 through Sept. 11 to Brent’s Place, which is especially timely given that September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Prior to the public grand opening, Snooze will host a “grow to give” friends and family soft opening to raise funds to benefit Denver Urban Gardens, another longstanding Snooze partner.
Started in Denver, Colo. in 2006, Snooze is dedicated to bettering communities and the planet through thoughtful breakfast experiences and by following a robust set of sustainability guidelines, donating sales back to the community and raising funds for non-profit partners by donating 25 cents from every Pancake of the Week sold throughout the year.
The menu features Snooze’s Pineapple Upside Down and Strawberry Shortcake Pancakes; Benedicts like the Parmesan-Panko Crab Cake Benny; breakfast riffs like the Habanero Pork Belly Breakfast Fried Rice as well as breakfast sandwiches, omelets and breakfast tacos. Diners can taste their way through three pancake flavors with the Signature Pancake Flight, or sample two different Benedicts with the Benny Duo option. Various plant-based plates (including Bravocado Toast) are available, as are plenty of gluten-free-friendly options. Snooze is deeply committed to fresh and responsible ingredient sourcing, as outlined in their Snooze Approved Food guidelines. These standards ensure the use of cage-free eggs and meats from animals raised without antibiotics, hormones, or confinement. Additionally, Snooze strives to minimally use ingredients or products that contain artificial additives such as synthetic food dyes, preservatives, or sweeteners.
Snooze offers a full bar complete with morning cocktails, local beers, spiked coffee beverages and more. Drinks range from signature spins on the Mimosa (like the Strawberry Martini Mimosa and the grapefruit flavored Palomimosa) to spicy Bloody Marys to Boozy Blood Orange Punch. The beverage program also encompasses unique juices that are juiced in-house daily, a full coffee bar and a selection of non-alcoholic sippers.
Snooze Ballpark will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. Snooze is available for dine-in, carry out, delivery and catering orders. Reservations and online waitlist are available 7 days a week. Diners can download the Snooze app to order takeout and delivery, or sign up for MySnooze Bennyfits loyalty program. Snooze Ballpark is located at 2262 Larimer St, Denver, CO 80205.
Meanwhile, Snooze is also in the process of building out its new Union Station location. Slated to open in September in the space that formerly housed Next Door Eatery, there will be no disruption to guest service during the transition from its current Union Station space. Union Station 2.0 will offer a much larger space as well as some new designs and features, including an expanded patio. Between Ballpark and Union Station, Snooze is investing a combined $3.5 million back into the Mile High City while continuing to grow nationally.
