An authentic Indian restaurant is expanding its presence in Denver. The second Spice Room will be located in a building at 3100 E. Colfax Ave. “We chose to buy, and we came across this building,” said Spice Room owner, partner, and manager Kal Pant. “We can call it our home.”
A tenant is currently in the new space but plans to move out sometime this summer. “After that, we need to do some remodeling,” Pant said. They hope to open the second Denver location possibly in September or October of 2022.
“The one location we have is very small, plus another reason is we just wanted to have a little bigger area to serve around Denver.” Spice Room opened just over four years ago at 3157 W. 38th Ave., Denver, CO 80211. The current location is on the west side of Interstate 25, but many customers are traveling from the east side to savor Spice Room’s dishes. Pant said the new space on E. Colfax will be a good area to serve more clients.
Spice Room blends the perfect mix of ingredients and spices to create aromatic curries. Menu items are similar to other Indian restaurants and include savory soups, Indian breads, drinks, and desserts, and noodle dishes.
Diners can try a variety of entrees including signature dishes such as Chicken Tikka and Fish Curry. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are available.
“We like to pride ourselves on quality and care for the environment. We have sustainable packaging, things like that, and organic as much as we can get,” Pant told What Now Denver.
Spice Room could expand once again in a few years, according to Pant. Let’s hope so.
