The incoming Starbucks will open at 112 W Laurel St Fort Collins, CO 80524, the site of a former Cold Stone Creamery, on September 23. The building has been vacant since 2018. The new store will be mobile-order focused, which may remedy the fact that foot traffic has reportedly decreased in the area. According to a Starbucks spokesperson, the establishment will employ 15 people.

Starbucks was founded in 1971 in Seattle, Washington. According to myth, the coffee shop’s founders Jerry Baldwin, Zev Siegl, and Gordon Bowker apprenticed for a few years under Peet’s Coffee founder Alfred Peet before branching out on their own to create what is “by far the largest coffee house chain in the world in terms of revenue.”

The Laurel Street opening will be just in time for Starbucks’ new summer-time menu featuring items like the Lime-Frosted Coconut Bar and Starbucks’ signature cold brew topped with chocolate cream cold foam and sweetened with rich vanilla syrup.
