Franchisee Khan Maung is spearheading the project, marking his first Teriyaki Madness venture after eight successful years in the sushi business with AFC Sushi. The lease for the 1,216-square-foot restaurant was signed in July 2024, Maung tells What Now Denver.
“I’m so excited for the opportunity to operate a Teriyaki Madness location in Colorado Springs, because it’s fresh food and healthy food. I’m so excited to service the customers,” Maung said.
The build-out will transform the existing space into a modern dining environment featuring a kitchen, restrooms, and a welcoming dining area. The design is being managed by Megan Wahlquist of The Lawrence Group, while Chad Boche and Veronica Reyes from Teriyaki Madness are overseeing construction.
The project is currently in the permitting phase, with construction anticipated to begin in late November and be completed in early January 2025. The restaurant’s estimated opening date is slated for the last week of January or the first week of February 2025.
