Inspired by Uzarowski’s upbringing in Denmark, Süti aims to bring Boulder the “nostalgia of homebaked sweets.” The company website further explains, “These butter-rich cookies capture the European tradition of enjoying a small sweet alongside coffee, as well as pausing to enjoy a few minutes of calm in the midst of a hectic week.”

Süti intends to act as a daily detour from life’s incessant to-do lists, offering “a number of cozy nooks and crannies designed for conversation.”

“I grew up eating something sweet at the end of each meal,” Uzarowski explained to Daily Camera. “When I was 16, I would bake two birthday cakes because I couldn’t choose which one I wanted. Danish baking is this coziness, this contentment, this simple little pleasure you can have in your life.”

Uzarowski’s other operation, Fresh Food Further Co., was born of a similar sentiment as Andrea found herself “growing fresh fruits and vegetables at home, while raising animals” in the European country in which she grew up. This method of culinary education coupled with Uzarowski’s degree from the Culinary Institute of America has birthed the chef’s unique cooking style — using “the best ingredients in the simplest of ways.”
