The Electric Cure & Velvet Lounge is set to open on 5350 West 25th Avenue right off Sheridan Boulevard. The bar and lounge is going be a welcome addition to the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood which also has Joyride Brewing Company, a Sonic Drive-in, Lakeview Lounge, Rupert’s at the Edge and more in the vicinity.

We can’t wait to see what this lounge looks like. “A Velvet Elvis sets the tone, but picture more Fat Elvis than young Elvis,” is one description according to their official Instagram page. The bar will be serving tiki cocktails (of course) but also non-tiki cocktails and drinks alongside snacks such as hummus and charcuterie boards.

The owners have many goals for this eclectic lounge. They would like to eventually move into a bigger space and on an Instagram post stated that one “goal: [is] to pour Jeff Goldblum a cocktail at The Electric Cure.” We are in full support of this goal and will help spread the word to help make this a reality.
