There’s little that’s more comforting than being able to approach one of The Halal Guys street carts with red and yellow umbrellas to order a platter of beef gyro, chicken or falafel, served with red rice, lettuce and tomatoes. Top it with pita bread and their famed white sauce and you’re golden.

But it seems like the Aurora branch isn’t set to be a cart with an umbrella, but a brick-and-mortar restaurant. The 2,100-square-foot location will be one of the first locations to debut The Halal Guys’s future plans for more brick-and-mortar locations.

Chris Bui and Kevin Than will be the co-owners of the Aurora branch that will be neighboring Cheba Hut Toasted Subs, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Poke Concept and Chick-fil-A. This will be the first of many locations the duo plans to open in Colorado. Other locations they’re thinking of includes Fort Collins and Colorado Springs.

“The Halal Guys is more than just a quick-service restaurant: our experience and flavor-packed menu is unlike any other,” said Than in a recent press release. “We’re excited to bring the concept to our hometown and appreciate all of the support that the community has already shown us.”
