Looks like the popular craft beer bar is going for a jailbreak. The Jailhouse is moving out of its old location and into a larger location in Buena Vista on 113 N Railroad St. The new location is only a 3 minute walk down the street from the bar’s old location on 412 E Main St.

The Jailhouse gets its name from its original location, a building which used to be a town jail in the 1880s. “It is very bittersweet to be moving. We would have loved to stay in our current location,” said Sarah Haughey Stewart, who owns the The Jailhouse along with husband Shane Stewart.

But the husband and wife duo who run The Jailhouse are sure to have more freedom in their new location which they own, a historic building with brick walls and heavy wood beams.

We can’t wait to see everything this new location will have to offer and sit down with one of the bar’s unique craft beers.
