Voodoo Doughnut was founded in 2003 and now has about a dozen shops across the country including two in Denver—on South Broadway and Colfax—and a third in the works at Denver International Airport.

Known for its late-night servings of sugary sweets, Voodoo Doughnut offers raised yeast, cake, and specialty doughnuts. The Bacon Maple Bar is always a good choice.

Fun options include the Voodoo Bubble, which is a doughnut with vanilla frosting, bubble gum dust, and a piece of bubble gum, along with the Voodoo Doll. It’s filled with raspberry jelly and is covered in chocolate frosting with a pretzel stake. Voodoo Doughnut also offers vegan options and made-to-order creations.

There’s no word yet on when the new Voodoo Doughnut might open in Boulder.
