A Denver business offering boards and grazing tables filled with a variety of cheese, meats, and more is opening a storefront in the Highlands neighborhood.
Wander + Graze owner Shelby Jonse founded the business in 2018 and began searching for a brick-and-mortar location prior to COVID. The pandemic postponed that dream but the business’ growth continued. Jonse closed on a building in the Highlands neighborhood this past spring and after a lengthy permitting process, demolition and renovations are now underway.
“Our hope is to be able to work out of that space and have a place to pick up and also a place to host small workshops,” Jonse told What Now Denver.
Wander + Graze currently offers private workshops in which they bring ingredients to groups of friends or family members and show them how to prepare the boards. In the new space, they plan to sell individual tickets to participate in workshops.
The boards and grazing tables feature many locally-sourced ingredients. “We try to incorporate lots of seasonal fruits and veggies,” Jonse said. Wander + Graze also offers vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.
According to the Wander + Graze website, Jonse’s favorite board is the Rainbow Board which features a mix of charcuterie and crudité in a colorful presentation. Dips, honey, and jam are also offered to grazing guests. Bread and cracker boxes are available for purchase, as well.
“We really focus on making colorful grazing boards and grazing tables. Our offerings are a little bit different than what other people have,” Jonse said. Wander + Graze tries to market more to the everyday cheese lover.
January 2022 is currently the target date for the new storefront at 4826 W. 38th Ave., Denver, CO 80212. Once at the new location, Wander + Graze will continue catering services for corporate and private events.
