Denver developer Nathan Beal announces the redevelopment of La Vista Motel, a historic motel located along East Colfax Avenue in Denver, Colorado. Originally built in 1956, Beal and his team of local partners will convert the space into an efficient, touchless motel concept, having a distinct and nostalgic experience for travelers seeking a blend of comfort and retro charm.

We wanted to restore this iconic property and bring it into the modern era with our touchless motel concept. Something between a traditional motel and AirBnB will give our guests the flexibility and competitive pricing we know they want. Our mission is to provide a truly memorable travel destination for our guests and transport them to a bygone time, allowing them to experience the charm and style of the 1960s while enjoying a modern stay in our great city.”
Situated at the intersection of three historic East Colfax neighborhoods–South Park Hill, Hale, and Montclair–La Vista is uniquely positioned for easy accessibility to downtown and the airport.
Renovations began in Spring 2024 and the finished motel will feature 23 guest rooms, a coffee shop, bar, and event space, offering a unique venue for private events, meetings, and gatherings. The retro-inspired common areas will offer locally roasted espresso drinks, breakfast, morning snacks, and a 60’s-style speak-easy cocktail lounge serving both original and classic libations.
La Vista Motel was purchased by Beal in 2022 and is his first hotel conversion. The remodel and renovations are currently in process with the help of the branding experts at Studio Mast, with design and finishes by Xan Creative, and SopherSparn for architecture.
As La Vista Motel looks forward to its anticipated opening next year, the team is dedicated to creating a memorable and distinctive hospitality experience that reflects the spirit of the 1960s.
