Welton Street Cafe has shared updates on its new location, a space at 2883 Welton St. Denverite did a profile piece about the progress and shared that construction is coming along and they hope to open in a few weeks.
The business had a 22-year history at its original location of 2736 Welton Street. A family-run operation, the Dickersons were sad to close it in 2021, but secured funds and found the new property.
Co-owner Fathima Dickerson told Denverite that the upcoming location will have a bigger kitchen and do away with booth-style seating. It’s about 3,000 square feet and will hold a capacity of nearly 100 guests inside and outside.
