Chili Shack, a local Mexican cuisine chain, is set to expand its footprint with a new location in South Park Hill. The eatery will be taking over a building located at 4990 E Colfax Ave., leasing records show.

Founded by Abraham Olivas, Chili Shack has garnered a loyal following for its fresh ingredients and great service. He started the company inspired by a lifelong passion for cultural culinary traditions, learned in his childhood days while cooking with his parents.

The new establishment is slated to open in August, Olivas tells What Now Denver. There will be outdoor patio seating and a full liquor license. It will feature Chili Shack’s menu of rich Mexican food — from sizzling fajitas and enchiladas to their renowned green chili creations and tacos al pastor.

This marks Chili Shack’s fourth brick-and-mortar venture. The brand has established a notable presence across the Denver metropolitan area with several vibrant locations: in Lakewood at 8809 W Colfax Ave, North Denver at 7260 Broadway, and Federal Heights at 2690 W 104th Ave
