The incoming Doug’s Diner will join Bruening and Hernandez’s other locations in Fort Collins, Centennial, Boulder, Greeley, and Thornton. They are the sole owner/operators; although the business has started to sell its restaurants with licensing agreements.
As the two now own the naming rights, Doug’s Day Diner (a different company with different owners) has since changed the name of its Superior eatery to PJ’s Diner, and switched its Loveland outpost’s name to Doug’s in Loveland on social media.
Bruening and Hernandez’s new location is taking over the spot where Tilted Barrel once was. That business closed in May of last year, after serving the community since 2017. It is a prime location, right off the busy U.S. Route 287.
