Site plans for the new construction restaurant are being reviewed by city officials. There was a meeting regarding the matter last month, documents show.

The city has been working on developing the area further, citing in documents that “the nearest national chain restaurants on the Highway 85 corridor are located in Fort Lupton, 25 miles to the south.” The intersection where the site is located is very busy, with over 30,000 vehicles passing by per day.

Records show that McDonald’s is working with Strategic Land Solutions, Inc., Natural Design Solutions, and Arris Architecture on the project. The 4,365-square-foot building will be on the southeast corner of the intersection, have 48 parking spots, and seating for 76 persons inside.
