City records show that the city of Arvada is considering plans to be the new home of a Krispy Kreme donut store. A master development plan was submitted in May and a city council public hearing is scheduled for July 17 to discuss allowing the brand to build a location at 5525 Wadsworth Bypass.

Documents for the project from the developer show the plans include demolishing an existing vacant restaurant building that’s currently on the lot. It previously hosted a Ruby Tuesday eatery that closed years ago. The goal is to construct a 3,550-square-foot Krispy Kreme with a drive-through in its place.
The site where the company wants to build is approximately 1.384 acres. They will construct entrances off of West 55th Ave and Wadsworth Bypass to accommodate traffic.
The center where it will be located also hosts Namaste India Restaurant & Bar, Kokora Arvada, and a Starbucks, and also receives a decent amount of traffic from the nearby Harkins Theatres.
