“It just gives them a little extravaganza look,” Michis manager Alejandro Villegas told What Now Denver. “They’re getting so much more instead of just a cone.”

The menu is in development, but drink offerings will include horchata, cantaloupe, and pineapple flavors. “There will be all types of candy on top of the drinks.”

Villegas’ wife Michelle Villegas and mother-in-law Elva Martinez own Michis at 564 S. Chambers Rd., Ste. 17 in Aurora. Villegas said he and Michelle wanted to open their first ice cream location for their four daughters. “We want our daughters to grow up in a business environment,” Villegas shared.

Villegas owns Taco Mex at 2210 S. Chambers Rd. in Aurora, just a couple of miles from the new Michis spot.

Depending on the permitting process, Michis is tentatively scheduled to open sometime in mid to late April.
