The company’s founder, Lara Stepneski-Mintz, told What Now Denver she hopes the business will be able to open by the end of the year. Stepneski-Mintz is a Colorado native but went to college in New Orleans.
“I plan on selling traditional syrup flavors as well as homemade, organic flavors, and add-ons of sweetened condensed milk and vanilla ice cream. Sweet Nola’s goal is to put a smile on the customer’s face with friendly service and tasty treats,” she said.
The concept’s “snoballs” are a NoLa delicacy, using shaved ice that soaks up the flavored syrup. Some add sweetened condensed milk as a topping, or a scoop of ice cream as a filling. Sweet Nola Snoballs will also host small events and catering opportunities.
