Records state that East Simpson Coffee Company wants to “permanently expand their premises to include the building next door at 203 E. Simpson Street. The proposed area includes the adjacent building, attached porch area, and the grassy patio area.” Plans include connecting the two properties via two doorways and adding two additional parking spaces.

The next-door space is a 1,171-square-foot building that is attached to the east wall of East Simpson Coffee Company. The company moved to the building, which is the former location of Lafayette’s first City Hall, in 2021, after relocating from two blocks east.

Voted Best Coffee House in the  Boulder County Gold People’s Choice Awards 2022, the shop serves locally roasted coffee and espresso, beer,  wine, pastries, and breakfast and lunch items. There is indoor and outdoor seating available.
