Work will begin at the downtown space on December 4, and the establishment should reopen in the early spring. The building is 100+ years old, and upgrades haven’t been made in over 20 years.
Updates include moving the kitchen and adding glass walls for a more sleek, intimate feel. A new bar and new booths and seating will also be added. The entire place will be gutted and rebuilt with a more modern design.
Recently, Urban Egg announced a substantial expansion plan, with a goal of increasing its unit count to 35 to 40 locations over the next few years. The company also released a new menu at its locations.
