To the dismay of its patrons, Battle Mountain Brewing Company’s announcement that it was closing in Colorado Springs on April 1 was not an April Fools’ joke. However, the good news is that the business is only on a temporary hiatus while some exciting changes are in the works — it’s gearing up to reopen at a new venue in Castle Rock, according to The Gazette.

An opening date and address for the new location have not yet been announced but details will be provided soon, the company told What Now Denver. Its former address was 1007 S. Tejon St. near downtown Colorado Springs.

The concept is self-described on Facebook as a spot that knows how to “make DAMN good beer and have a blast serving it.” They offer a selection of beer on tap, brews to go, and a number of bites available on their food menu.

In a social media message, the company invited their clientele to make the drive north to visit them once they are up and running.

“Please, come visit us at our new home in Castle Rock. We can’t wait for all the smiles and laughs to fill the walls up there,” Battle Mountain Brewing Co. wrote online.

Battle Mountain Brewing Co. was created in 2020, named after a shut-down gold, silver, and iron mine near the town of Leadville. The brewery has a mining theme, which will live on at the new spot.
