After the fast-casual burrito chain Chipotle opened its 10th Colorado Springs location last year, the quick Mexican food franchise firm plans on adding number 11 “sometime in 2023,” per Chipotle communications.

“The restaurant is located at 6530 Tutt Blvd. and will feature a Chipotlane digital drive-thru pickup lane in addition to a dining room,” the company wrote in an email.
Hungry eaters can expect the same quick in-store, pickup, and (sometimes) drive-thru service as they can at the other 80 Colorado locations. Best to visit when hungry as Chipotle offers up several different kinds of meat, sauteed veggies, salsas, cheeses (melted and unmelted), and sides (including its unbeatable guacamole) folded into burrito tortillas, wrapped into taco shells, and/or atop rice in bowls. These 53 ingredients, the company claims, are part of its wholesome menu offering real food, made fresh, and (where available) sourced from private farms.
Chipotle’s reputation has bounced back after a 2015 food-borne illness scare to reestablish itself as a go-to brand for cheap food with integrity. This includes the company’s continued claim of providing livable pay and benefits to its employees, a 2020 commitment to divert at least 50% of its landfill waste, converting used plastic gloves into store bags, and supplying only responsibly-raised processed meats “with the highest animal welfare standards.”
Though there are nearly 3,100 Chipotle restaurants spread across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, the Newport Beach, California-headquartered firm is “the only restaurant company of its size that owns and operates all its restaurants.” This means the fast casual eatery is able to maintain the above standards with proper in-house oversight.
Keep an eye on the intersection of Tutt Boulevard and Dublin Boulevard for construction and/or completion of the new restaurant sometime this year.
