Meason said he has the ability to expand at this point because of the availability of government loans associated with the COVID pandemic. He is looking for a good deal on the new location and at demographics to make sure he will be able to find staffing.

“We can share stock, share staff as needed as long as we’re close enough to one another,” Meason explained about the current Englewood location and the expansion.

Jimano’s offers a large selection of crusts and toppings for its pizzas—Italian sausage, pepperoni, meatballs, and more. “It is probably the most representative of the everyday mom-and-pop Chicago-style pizza that you get anywhere in the Chicago area, and we do it well,” Meason said about Jimano’s.

Meason recommends customers check out Jimano’s thin crust pizza. “While we do have a deep-dish pizza, and we do have a stuffed pizza, the thin crust just is, I think, what most Chicagoans believe a pizza should be.”

For lunch, guests can purchase pizza by the slice. Jimano’s offers a variety of appetizers such as fried mushrooms and cheese curds, along with sandwiches, salads, wings, and pastas.

Jimano’s is currently open at 2950 S. Broadway, Englewood, CO 80113. Meason hopes to find a spot for his second Jimano’s location soon, but there is no word on when it might open.
