Liquor permits were approved for the eatery recently, a Villager Publishing article states. The restaurant is expected to open its doors to patrons sometime in October after some work is done at the space.

Sean Huggard, owner of Shucking Good Hospitality, told the publication that Oliver’s will be “an upscale Italian restaurant, somewhat family-friendly, but with a little bit of a higher price point.”

The location, in the Belleview Square retail complex, was previously a Tokyo Joe’s concept. It’s a 3,000-square-foot property, and Shucking Good Hospitality is adding an outdoor patio and doing a seven-figure renovation. A representative for the company told What Now Denver the interior will be “evocative of the romance and spirit of Italy; fun, approachable and warm with a touch of simple elegance.”
