Denver could soon become the newest home for Next Level Burger. According to City of Denver permitting information, the plant-based burger restaurant would be located near the University of Denver campus at 1605 E. Evans Ave.
According to city information, minor exterior work including paint will be needed to freshen up the former Starbucks space.
Touted as America’s first 100-percent, plant-based burger joint, Next Level Burger was founded in Oregon in 2014 by Matt and Cierra de Gruyter.
According to the Next Level Burger website, the couple felt an urgency to do something about “escalating climate change, unhealthy eating and a fundamental problem with where people get their food.” So, they founded Next Level Burger, which is a plant-based burger chain focused on quality and sustainability that uses non-GMO and all-organic vegetables.
The menu includes burgers featuring a beefy style patty, mushroom and quinoa patty, or crispy chik’n patty. Don’t forget to add a side—crinkle cut fries, sweet potato fries, or tater tots, with the option of toppings such as chili, grilled onions, mushrooms, or Tempeh Bacon. Shakes made with hand-spun and house-made organic soy or coconut soft-serve ice cream are also available.
Next Level Burger has locations in Oregon, Washington, California, and Texas, and this would be the chain’s first Colorado spot.
